Pension Concerns

As we all know there is funding shortfall in the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. In 2005 the partners, composed of three people from each of the Ontario Teachers' Federation and the Government, will have to create a plan that will deal with this shortfall. You must be assured though, that are pensions are guaranteed, as are recent improvements to the plan.

The Provincial Committee, of which I am a member, meets on September 9. There may be more information from this meeting that will be released in the RTO/ERO Provincial Newsletter that all members will receive. If you have any pension concerns this is the commitee to have them heard. I look forward to doing that and I am available as indicated in members of the executive.
