Rogers Reservoir - The Notiidaa Trail This is part of the Tom Taylor Trail. ‘Nokiidaa’ is an Ojibwa term meaning “walking together” which seems perfect for our group. The walk winds around Roger’s Reservoir following the East Holland River. The complete trail passes through town parks and green spaces, past wetlands and historic cultural sites, and has links to numerous other town trails. Parking is in the parking lot on Green Lane east of Main Street North, opposite the East Gwillimbury Go terminal.

Fairy Lake - Newmarket This is a walk through the expanded trails of the Fairy Lake area. After the walk we can stroll up Main Street for a little refreshment. Parking is at the main entrance of Fairy Lake, 500 Water Street, just east of the south end of Main street in Newmarket.

Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve The Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve has beautiful rolling hills and forested ridges and is a refuge for wildlife. To access the reserve, travel north on Bathurst Street from Green Lane. The entrance is the third driveway on the left side at 18462 Bathurst Street and is marked by a green ‘Ontario Nature’ sign. Continue down the drive past the white house and park in front of the larger house at the very end of the driveway.
Please let me know if there are any other trails that you would like to experience. After an invigorating walk we will, of course, visit a nearby coffee shop.
Come alone or bring a friend.
